Court Serving Kusilvak Census Area

Kusilvak Census Area is served by the Bethel Trial Court for most case types. This Fourth Judicial District court is the regional hub for a large portion of Western Alaska. There is no full-service courthouse within the Kusilvak Census Area itself. Communities like Bethel, Mountain Village, Saint Mary's, and many smaller villages route court matters through Bethel.

The Kusilvak Census Area includes the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region and contains many small Yup'ik and Cup'ik communities. Court proceedings for residents of these villages may be held in Bethel or, in some cases, through telephone or video hearing arrangements when travel is not practical. Contact the Bethel Trial Court to ask about available options for remote participation.

The Alaska Court System court directory lists current contact details, phone numbers, and hours for the Bethel Trial Court and all other Alaska trial courts.
